.....Recorded in the 1960s when Jones' life was burdened by alcohol, outrageous behavior, and professional unreliability, these songs have never been on CD before and a couple of them, "Where the Soul Never Dies" and "The Old Rugged Cross," only appeared on vinyl outside of the U.S. Music never really caused the turmoil in Jones' life, and here one hears how much he clung to it as a life raft.
